The WLYSA Referee Program provides youth 12+ years old and adults the opportunity to utilize their BC Soccer Referee Certification.
Referees assist Williams Lake Youth Soccer Association with officiating games throughout the year and are paid by set honorarium based on age group and type of game officiated.
All qualified, and certified referees are able to apply to WLYSA to be contacted and scheduled for games throughout the year.

WLYSA in partnership with other Cariboo Youth Soccer District members (100 Mile House and Quesnel) plan to host online and in-person clinics for yearly certification of interested referees in the Small Sided and Entry Level Clinics.
2025 On-Field courses will be held in 100 Mile House
All components of the courses must be completed to receive full certification.

Refresher Clinics:
WLYSA will reimburse all referees for their annual course fees following their participation in the WLYSA Referee Program. At least one (1) game must be officiated to be eligible for the course reimbursement.
Course reimbursement will be included in the end of the season honorarium cheques.
Referees intending to complete their certification must apply to the WLYSA Referee Program to be contacted and scheduled for games throughout the year.

All referees that apply into the WLYSA Referee Program will be required to sign, acknowledge and understand the WLYSA Referee Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct outlines the expectations that WLYSA has for each referee and the support each referee can expect from WLYSA.
WLYSA will be hosting a referee welcome evening for referees, and parents to go over the Code of Conduct and answer any questions prior to the start of the spring season.
