Spring Outdoor Registration Dates

Early Registration January 15 - January 31, 2025
Regular Registration February 1 - March 14, 2025
Late Registration March 15 - March 31, 2025
Waitlist After April 1, 2025

Registrations following April 1st will be put onto a waitlist until a space is available on a team in the selected age group. 

Our season is set to begin the week of April 28th for the 2025 season. Emails will be sent to confirm dates, times, and team information mid-April. 

 

Practice and Game Schedules

U4 to U5 Divisions - 1 session time per week. Parents are asked to choose at the time of registration if they wish to practice on Wednesday Evenings or Saturday Mornings. 

U6 to U13 Divisions - 1 practice during weekdays, and 1 game on Saturday mornings each week. 

U14 to U18 Divisions - 2 games scheduled per week.

2025 Registration Fees

Little Kickers

The Little Kickers program offers U4, and U5 age groups the opportunity to begin learning soccer skills, and team environments.

Parents are often required to participate in the program to encourage their child's participation. Many of the drills require the child to partner with a parent or an older sibling to complete with the team. 

Parents have the option of Wednesday evening or Saturday morning sessions. Little Kickers program runs for 45 minutes once per week for team practices. Games are not introduced formally until U6 following BC Soccer Long Term Athlete Development.

Rep Development registrations are open to any U9 and U10 player already registered for the spring season.

The program adds an additional practice per week, and players participate in Cariboo Youth Soccer League play on Sundays throughout the spring season. This does require travel to Quesnel, PG, and 100MH.

Senior Division

WLYSA is offering to our senior players in the U11-U18 age categories. Upper age groups will be planned as follows: U14/U15 girls, U16-U18 girls, U14 - U16 boys. 

U11 - U13 House age groups include a weekday evening practice, and Saturday morning games. 

U14+ have two games per week. They will be given WLYSA t-shirts at the beginning of the season, and pinnies will be used throughout the year to create more fluid and even game play depending on who attendance each game day.

Rep Development and Rep Program registrations are open to all senior division players. Players will participate in at least one Rep Development or Rep Program practice per week and are expected to participate in Cariboo Youth Soccer League play on Sundays throughout the Spring Season. Travel is required to CYSA league games as well as to additional tournaments throughout spring and summer.

Referee Program

In summary: 

Anyone 12 years and older at the time of the referee clinic are eligible to become a referee. Referees are required to take and pass the online and field components of their training.

WLYSA reimburses all referees for their training after refereeing games for us during the spring season. WLYSA referees are paid a set honorarium per game based on the age group they are refereeing.

If you or your player are interested in becoming a referee, please check the box during registration. WLYSA will send a follow up email with instructions to register for the referee clinics. 

 

Coaches 

The WLYSA Spring Season is entirely run by volunteer coaches and assistant coaches. 

All coaches will be responsible for the following:

  • completing a free Criminal Record Check through WLYSA link
  • Completing Respect In Sport - link provided for free by WLYSA if not previously completed
  • Attending spring season coaches meeting/on-field session
  • contacting their team during the season with changes in scheduling due to coach availability or weather (via TeamSnap) - or working with a team coordinator to notify team members of changes in the schedule
  • looking after their team's ball bag and cones for the season or working with the team coordinator to ensure ball and bag are passed between co-coaches.

*Spring Season Coaches that completed the 2024 spring season with a team are eligible for $20.00 off promo code. Please email admin@wlysa.com to receive if you have not already received an email. 

Coaches have the option to use the WLYSA weekly coaching plans or provide their own drills for practice. We welcome all levels of experience to volunteer for our association!

Family Discount

For families registering more than 2 players, you are still eligible to receive the family discount for each player after the first 2 children in the same family are registered.

Online Registration

Online Registration is available for anyone interested in paying by CREDIT CARD, KIDSPORT or JUMPSTART.

A 4% non refundable Admin Fee will be applied to the registration total on Credit Card transactions. 

Please note that if you are new to Ramp Interactive online registrations, you will be asked to upload a picture of each child's birth certificate into the secure system.

Payment Through Another Organization

If you need an invoice sent to another organization, please complete the following steps:

  • Register online and use the "E-transfer" payment option at check-out (this will allow you to complete the registration without paying at the time of registering)
  • OR register using a paper form and indicate near the total due the organization to be invoiced. 
  • Email Alexis at admin@wlysa.com to let her know of the player's name and the organization to be invoiced through WLYSA. 

 

KidSport 

KidSport Williams Lake is a group of volunteers who raise money to help athletes and families break down the financial barriers that would otherwise prevent children from participating in organized sports.

If you require financial assistance to cover registration fees, KidSport paper applications are available in the school offices in Williams Lake, at the Recreation Complex, and online by clicking the link below.
