Canada Soccer Grassroots Coach Education Program

Each spring WLYSA organizes the opportunity for our coaches to complete the online and on-field portions of the Canada Soccer Grassroots Coach Education Program, paid for by WLYSA. 

WLYSA pre-purchases keycodes for interested coaches to complete the online portion FREE of charge prior to the on-field component. 

The courses are made up of various modules to help you become more knowledgeable at the age specific stages of development that you coach.

Work at your own pace to complete these modules which may only take about 60-90 minutes in total to finish the entire course.

To receive full certification credit, all coaches are required to successfully complete the online theory component (part 1) as a pre-requisite first before being able to register for the practical on-field component (part 2). Once both parts have been completed, you will receive certification credit for the respective level. The online component must be completed at least 10 days before the date of the on-field course.

Respect In Sport for Activity Leader

Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders is a second course recommended for all coaches to complete.

WLYSA pre-pays for a code each year for coaches to access this course for FREE. The online program takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete and is transferable to other sport organizations following certification.
