Regarding 2020 Spring Soccer
WLYSA will be monitoring the Covid-19 situation leading up to the start of the 2020 Spring Outdoor Season. WLYSA will be following BC Soccer and Health Officials Directive throughout this time.
As of March 19th, 2020
At this time BC Soccer, following direction from Canada Soccer, has directed all members and affiliated clubs to suspend all sanctioned soccer activities in the province until further notice. This includes all referee, and coaching clinics that were previously scheduled.
The most recent update from BC Soccer was provided on March 19th, 2020. In short, BC Soccer is advising members and affiliated clubs to plan for soccer activity to not occur in April 2020. WLYSA will continue to make plans for the 2020 Spring Outdoor Season to proceed at the beginning of May. We will continue to update our members through our website, Facebook page and by email as we approach May. In the event that our season is postponed too far into our regular season schedule, we will issue refunds for players.
2020 Spring Season
WLYSA recognizes that everyone has been impacted by the current events unfolding around us. We will issue full refunds for the 2020 Spring Season to anyone who requests. If you do not wish to request a refund, we will hold a credit on your child’s account for the upcoming season.
If you paid by Credit Card: we are able to directly refund to your credit card, or we are able to issue a cheque.
If you paid by Cash or Cheque: we are able to issue a cheque and mail it to you. With social distancing and self-isolation procedures in place, please note that cheques will take approx. 10 days to reach you.
If you would like to request a refund, please email admin@wlysa.com and provide the following information:
- Children’s full names
- If you paid by credit card: would you like the refund to be placed back onto your credit card
- If you paid by Cash/Cheque: Please confirm who the cheque should be issued to
- Mailing address (if different than the address on child’s soccer registration)

Elser Soccer Fields
The Elser Soccer Fields are closed until further notice. This includes any informal soccer activities.
As spring arrives, we will continue to complete maintenance on the Esler Soccer Fields so that they are ready for the return of soccer players.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered for the 2020 Spring Season! We appreciate the support you give each year and look forward to working with you in upcoming seasons.
We will not begin planning coaches, or teams until we know when and what our 2020 Outdoor season will look like.
The health and safety of all our players, referees, volunteers and soccer families is of the greatest importance to us during this time. We look forward to being able to provide soccer activities in the future and seeing you all on the fields once again!
