Hello Coaches, Managers, and all other Volunteers!

On Behalf of the Williams Lake Youth Soccer Executive, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this soccer season another very successful year. Offering a meaningful soccer season to over 1000 kids just wouldn’t be possible without all the volunteers who gave countless hours to make it happen. To give you an idea of the scope and size of our association, check out the following numbers:

– 1009 players registered this year to play house and development/rep soccer from U4 to U18
– 621 players in “Mini’s” (U4-U10) and 388 in “Senior’s” (U11-U18)
– 103 house teams participated in our league
– 66 players participated in the Future Stars program (U9/U10)
– 58 players participated in Development soccer (U11/U12)
– 110 players participated in Rep soccer (U13-U18)
– 91 referees called the games
– Approximately 250 coaches and assistant coaches organized players and teams

These numbers are amazing for a town of our size and doesn’t even include the countless team managers, phone parents, half-time snack providers, and player drivers that help make it all come together.

Special thanks to the U17 boys rep team and parents who provided a concession at the fields every weekend throughout the season, our senior refs who helped mentor our younger refs, and to our Association Operations and Field Manager, Rob Tazelaar, who constantly works to get players registered and our fields lined and looking great while balancing his many other tasks.

Our Annual General Meeting will take place Tuesday September 26th at 6pm at the Esler Clubhouse. Our executive is always looking for new members to join us so youth soccer can continue to be successful in Williams Lake.

Thank you everyone for another great season and look forward to seeing everyone again next spring!
